Party Wall Problems
The Law has a special mechanism to address disputes about Party Walls. A Party Wall is a wall or a fence that separates the land of two different owners, this can be a garden fence or the wall dividing two very large buildings.
As with neighbour disputes generally, issues can and do arise relating to boundary structures or rather someone’s plans or interference (sadly often damage). Although there is a procedure to help avoid disputes happening in the event of building work being desired or required which presumes the involvement to surveyors, it is in fact a legal issue and often will require help from a solicitor, this is especially so if violence or damage has been threatened or caused, if compensation is sought and if there is a risk of any repetition of such things.
Here at Green Solicitors we have decades of experience of party wall and boundary problems and the aggravation that often accompanies them. We can quickly advise you as to which is the best procedure and course of action to find a resolution and if surveyors are required we have connections with some of the very best experts in this field.
